Remembering SuSu

Doesn't seem right or fair....cancer taking away our beloved Susu too soon. She really wasn't ready to go and she had so many, many more plans to make. It's a hole and an empty feeling & you just learn to live with & accept it. So, with all that said I remember her give give give (did I say give?) giving spirit. She did things sometimes over the top to some peoples standards....but it's like hey! you only live once. She went FOR IT. I mean, if there was something that looked fun - jump on & do it or I'll get it for you. She brought so much life into a room with her smile, her laugh, the way she could quickly relate to people & carry on. She loved kids, spoiled them in fact.....down right spoiled them & she loved it, they did too. (of coarse) If you needed someone to help you...I mean really help you, Susan would be there. She seriously lived for that kinda stuff. She deeply loved animals too. Her beauty would turn heads everywhere she went. She just quite a memorable gal. We are so so lucky that my mom met her 31 years ago & brought her into our lives. I always called her "other mother"...but in the hospital a nurse ask what relation & Susan quickly said I am her Aunt. So gosh, love you Aunt Su!

He just finished & is pretty proud of himself! So am I!

You got to use a kick board for one of the races...cool!

You won the door prize & picked the water bottled filled with gumballs.

About to swim a 100 Free!

Alabama Baseball Camp - in Tuscaloosa

Baxter was in a such a happy place last week as he attended a baseball camp on the campus of University of Alabama. He didn't want it to be over after the 3 long days. I say long because it went from 9 til 2pm & was burning hot outside. Each day when I picked him up he was giddy....yes tired but wanted more. He laid his clothes out each night & would wake up by himself early in the morning ready for the day.

Baxter I am so glad you enjoyed this. The U of A players were the coaches too. Here are a few pictures from the event.

Poison

No, I don't mean the Hair Band.
Poison is when there is something negative in your life that hinders you from thinking straight.

  • It could simply be thoughts.
  • It could be a complete stranger. i.e. traffic difficulties
  • It could also be someone that you love
If you have poison in your life & have to learn how to deal with it:

  • read positive books and quotes ...even if it's just an excerpt.
  • Try your best not to let it affect the way you treat others (many times the poison can stick to us & we can spread it....from one person & then the next person will spread it)
  • Just know it's not your fault and nothing against you. The other person simply isn't evolved enough to understand how to be happy with their self.
  • Possibly distance yourself from that person if it's bad enough that it's really effecting who you are.

Happy Mardi Gras 2012

We made it to 3 parades this year. Right now we are watching parades on T.V. with beads, stuffed animals, swords, cups, footballs, moon pies, peanuts and other random toys all over the den. The boys are loving it....and mama is too!

A wonderful surprise

Huff brought this to me today. He was working on his nature journal in the backyard & came in to hand this to me.
Also....you wrote the sweetest little poem- "I smell love in a tree that is as sweet as can be".
